A2 motorcycle upgrade courses
Upgrade from A1
Did you know that you can upgrade your current driving licence from A1 to A2 even without a theory or driving test?
You can upgrade your A1 licence to an A2 licence if you are at least 18 years old and you have had a valid A1 licence for at least two years.
If you do not have any motorcycle licence and you want to obtain an A2 licence, check the A2 motorcycle courses here.
Option 1
5 + 2 hours of lessons at the driving school (upgrade from A1)
Complete five hours of driving lessons and two theory lessons at the driving school. We will provide you with a certificate of driver training that you can attach to your driving licence permit application submitted to Ajovarma.
With this option, you do not need to pass any driving or theory tests.
Option 2
Pass the handling and driving tests (upgrade from A1)
With this option, you do not need to complete any mandatory lessons at the driving school. You only need to apply for a driving licence permit from Ajovarma and pass the A2 licence handling and driving test.
Even with this option, we recommend one or two hours of driving lessons at the driving school as preparation. Our Examination upgrade package includes two hours of driving lessons and the use of the driving school’s motorcycle and driving equipment in the driving test.

The Examination upgrade course includes 2 driving lessons with the customer’s own motorcycle, after which you will take a category A2 handling and driving test, as well as a possible theory test. Motorcycle rental is also possible. More information from Matti 045 278 3878.

Sure Driver upgrade course Motorbike course (A2)

The Sure Driver upgrade course includes 5 driving lessons with the customer’s own category A2 motorcycle and 2 theory lessons, after which you will receive a category A2 driving licence without a driving examination. Motorcycle rental is also possible. More information from Matti 045 278 3878.

Light motorcycle licence (A1)
The A1 motorcycle licence allows you to operate motorcycles with a cubic capacity of over 50 cc but less than 125 cc and a maximum power of 11 kW. In addition, you must be at least 16 years old.
Motorcycle licence (A2)
The A2 licence allows a person who is at least 18 years old to operate motorcycles with a maximum power of 35 kW and a power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg. In addition, you must be at least 18 years old.
Motorcycle licence (A)
The category A motorcycle licence allows you to drive all motorcycles without power restrictions. You must be at least 24 years old, or 20 years old if you have had a valid A2 licence for at least two years.
