C1 driving license (small lorry)
The minimum age requirement for driving vehicles in categories C1 and C1E (smaller lorries and vehicle combinations) is 18 and a valid B driving license.
Other than category D1 or D vehicles with a gross weight of over 3,500 kg but no more than 7,500 kg that have been designed or manufactured to carry up to eight persons in addition to the driver.
Vehicle combinations comprising a towing vehicle in category C1 and a towed vehicle whose gross weight is no more than 750 kg.
C1E driving license (vehicle combination)
The minimum age requirement for driving vehicles in categories C1 and C1E (smaller lorries and vehicle combinations) is 18 and a valid C1 or C driving license.
Vehicle combinations comprising a towing vehicle in category C1 and a towed vehicle whose gross weight exceeds 750 kg, as long as the gross weight of the vehicle combination is no more than 12,000 kg.
Vehicle combinations comprising a towing vehicle in category B and a towed vehicle whose gross weight exceeds 3,500 kg, as long as the gross weight of the vehicle combination is no more than 12,000 kg.
Includes the right to drive vehicles in category BE.
C driving license (lorry)
The minimum age requirement for driving vehicles in categories C (lorry) is 21 and a valid B driving license. By driver’s professional competence training the minimum age requirement is 18.
Other than category D1 or D vehicles with a gross weight of over 3,500 kg that have been designed or manufactured to carry up to eight persons in addition to the driver.
Vehicle combinations comprising a towing vehicle in this category and a towed vehicle whose gross weight is no more than 750 kg.
Includes the right to drive vehicles in category C1.
CE driving license (vehicle combination)
The minimum age requirement for driving vehicles in categories CE (vehicle combination) is 21 and a valid C driving license. By driver’s professional competence training the minimum age requirement is 18.
Vehicle combinations comprising a towing vehicle in category C and a towed vehicle whose gross weight exceeds 750 kg.
Vehicle combinations comprising a towing vehicle in category C1 and a towed vehicle whose gross weight exceeds 750 kg and the gross weight of the vehicle combination exceeds 12,000 kg.
Includes the right to drive category C1E and BE vehicles.
D1 driving license (minibus)
The minimum age requirement for driving vehicles in categories D1 (minibus) is 21 and a valid B driving license. (At the age of 18 you can obtain a Category D1 driving licence if you have complete 280 hours of basic professional qualification training and 120 study weeks of bus drivers training.
By D1 driving license you can drive vehicles with a maximum length of 8 metres that have been designed and manufactured to carry a maximum of sixteen (16) passengers in addition to the driver.
License also entitles you to drive a vehicle combinations comprising a towing vehicle in Category D1 and a towed vehicle whose gross weight is no more than 750 kg.
D driving license (bus)
The minimum age requirement for driving vehicles in categories D (bus licnese) is 24 and a valid C1, C, CE or D1 driving license.
Vehicles that have been designed and manufactured to carry more than eight (8) passengers in addition to the driver. Vehicle combinations comprising a towing vehicle in Category D and a towed vehicle whose gross weight is no more than 750 kg. Includes a right to drive category D1.
