Every student is treated individually, and our task is to help you succeed in obtaining your driving licence – whether it’s your first licence or another qualification. Everyone is welcome, and customer satisfaction is our top priority!
We provide driving instruction and courses for the following licence categories: passenger car licence (B), all motorcycle licences (A1, A2, A), and moped licence (AM120). We also offer services for those learning with a teaching permit, such as the EAS and RTK courses. You can choose to drive with either a manual or automatic car.
Our office is centrally located in the Iso Myy Shopping Centre at Torikatu 25. It is easy to reach by walking, cycling or public transport. Driving lessons start from the driving school.

CAP Driving School Joensuu has been operating since 2016. Our instructors know the streets and traffic of Joensuu like the back of their hand and help you gain confidence behind the wheel safely, calmly and with a suitable touch of humour. There is no need to be nervous about starting driving school – our professional and experienced instructors support you throughout the entire learning process, from the first theory lesson all the way to the driving test. Getting a driving licence in Joensuu is easy and flexible. Instruction is available in Finnish and English.
You can start the driving school course immediately after registering. You can complete the theory studies flexibly online whenever it suits you best. We use modern teaching tools, such as a driving simulator, the CAP app and a digital learning environment, which help you learn to drive safely and in a versatile way. Driving lessons are carried out with modern, well-equipped training cars – safety and driving comfort are always our top priority.
Moped and motorcycle lessons begin at the driving school by putting on the driving gear, after which you proceed with the instructor to the handling practice area where you can practice vehicle control in a safe and calm environment. The moped handling test takes place in the yard behind Ajovarma Joensuu. The road driving tests also start from Ajovarma Joensuu.
In Joensuu, we offer a wide range of teaching-permit courses that include all mandatory training, such as EAS and RTK. In addition, we provide several support packages for those completing their licence with a teaching permit – for example the practice test package, starter package, co-driving package and intensive training course.
CAP Driving School offers versatile payment options. You can pay the course invoice in 1–4 instalments, make the payment online or use SVEA financing. This allows you to choose the payment method that suits you best.
