Will I get a real plastic driving license if I drive with an age exemption permit?

After passing the driving test, you will receive the actual driver’s license by mail within about a week, provided that no other license classes have been applied for with the same driver’s license permit. If other license classes have been applied for with the driver’s license permit, you will receive a plastic driver’s license once all the license classes have been completed. Until then, you will drive with a temporary driving permit.

NOTE! The age exception permit granted by Traficom must always be carried while driving until you turn 18.
